Ann Virginia “Ginny” Burns Logan, 84, passed away after a brief illness on Dec. 24, 2010. She had resided at Taylor Manor in Jacksonville for the past two years. Ginny was born Nov. 29, 1926 in Jacksonville, to Ann Powell Burns and Patrick Burns.
Ginny had an artistic flair and was very talented in creating jewelry and paintings. She had a passion for antiques and opened Queenie’s Antiques in Jax Beach in the early 90’s, where she developed many wonderful friendships in the antique community. Affectionately known by her family as “Muzz,” Ginny was a wonderful wife and mother, who raised four children and will be greatly missed.
Muzz was preceded in death by both her loving husband of 56 years, Joseph, and son, Jody. She leaves behind to cherish her memory sons, Jeff Logan (Amy), Mark Logan (Donita); daughter, Sally Logan; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Michael, Joseph, Brittany, Baker, Jesse, Max (Jeff’s stepson); and great-granddaughter, Eva.
A special thank you goes to the nurses and staff of Taylor Manor for exceptional care and kindness shown to Ginny over the last two years.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, Dec. 28th at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, Dec. 29th at Hardage-Giddens Hendricks Chapel with interment following at Oaklawn Cemetery.
