Patricia F. Wofford and George were married on June 2, 1958. He served in the Air Force, acquired his BA at UF in Business and Masters at UNF in Psychology and worked for 30 years at the Macclenny State Hospital and for 10 years at King & Bear Golf Course.
George enjoyed golf, yard sales, Florida Gator’s football, camping, fishing, racket ball and time with his family.
He is survived by wife Patricia Robinson; son and daughter-in-law John and Debbie Robinson; son and daughter-in-law Donald Christy Robinson; granddaughter Jordan Aligood; granddaughter Kathryn Robinson; granddaughter Tara Robinson; grandson Austin Robinson; sister Mary Jo Ramsey; sister Pat McAbee; granddaughter Madison Teague; grandson Jack Teague; 2 great-grandchildren; also nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jack Roberson; brother Bob Roberson and sister Peggy Powell.
The Family wants to extend a Special Thanks to Community Hospice and Palliative Care (Douglas Center for Caring at Baptist Hospital Downtown) for the support they showed the family during George’s last few days.
A visitation for George will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 16, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A committal service will occur Friday, September 16, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
