Frances Lynne Motes

Lynne is survived by 2 sisters Claire Smith (George), Elizabeth Rast (Keith), 2 brothers George Motes III (Pam) and Charles Motes(Lori). Lynne never had children of her own but she took great pride in helping raise her nieces and nephews: Angie Reier, Tommy Smith (Cheryl), Jennifer Smith Bubba Motes (Amanda), Kyle Motes, Bryan Rast (Haley), Emily Whiddon (Heath), Great nieces and nephews; Austin Reier (Katelin), Bailey Parker (Matt), Rhett Reece Rayce, Piper Smith, Lainey Whiddon, Maddison Motes and great-great niece Gracie Lynne Reier. She was so proud of them all!

Lynne graduated from Paxon High School in 1967 where she was a proud Golden Eagle and was active In many sports. After graduation Lynne went to work at Lerner’s where she made many lifelong friends. Lynne later took a job with Duval County Public Schools. Her first job with DCPS led her back to the very school she graduated from. Lynne later retired from Westview K-8.

Lynne was a passionate Gator fan. She supported and followed all Gator sports. There was never a doubt that she loved her family, friends, the orange and blue, and Elvis!

A celebration of Lynne’s life will be held Dec 10th at The Well at Crystal Springs. The family will receive visitors at 1:00 pm, while the service, officiated by Reverend Tommy Smith (nephew), will begin at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow.

In honor of Lynne’s love of the Gators the family asks that guests wear orange and blue.
