Florence retired from Walgreens in 2013 after spending 13 years as a Hallmark Card Specialist for the Company. She was passionate about Wolf Conservation and was integral in projects such as Speak For Wolves 2014 and The Wolf Education and Research Center. A pet parent to Tori, Frannie and Amani she was an animal lover who also supported Best Friend's Animal Sanctuary. She was also a supporter of The National Shrine of St. Jude, St. Labre and St. Joseph's Indian Schools and a Member of the Walgreens Alumni Association. Florence's infectious smile and warm laugh were hallmarks of her personality.
She was preceeded in death by her father, John; daughter, Eileen; and husband, Anthony. She is survived by her mother, also Florence; and daughter, Dawn, both of Jacksonville, FL.
The family would like to thank Cary Mahoney, Gina Patterson, The Bubel and Corbett families, Mary Conway, Sally Hannoush, Erin Eisenhour and Team Weekend Warriors for their support and love of Florence and her family.
Viewing will be Friday, May 1 from 5-7 p.m. in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with service to follow at 7 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ at a later date.
