Dunn, Everett Eugene was born on August 14, 1949 in Providence, Rhode Island to the late George and Helen Dunn. Everett departed this life on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Throughout his childhood, he attended school in Providence, graduating from Hope High School. After graduation, Everett joined the United States Navy and was immediately stationed in Washington, DC. He was later reassigned to several duty stations affording him the opportunity to travel (Malta Island, NAS Mayport (Jacksonville, FL), Segonella Sicily, Italy, Portland, ME). While stationed in Portland, ME he met Felipa Tandoc. Everett and Felipa were married on December 6, 1980, and were relocated to NAS Cecil Field (Jacksonville, FL). From this union they had one son, George Eugene Dunn. Everett was released from the United Stated Navy on November 14, 1984 with honorable discharge. He became an employee of the United States Post Office, later changed positions working for Ford Aerial Space as a technical representative and worked as a civil service supply tech for the Department of Defense at NAS Mayport (Jacksonville, FL). Mr. Dunn leaves behind a devoted wife, Mrs. Felipa Dunn, a loving son, George Eugene Dunn, one grandson. George Eugene Dunn II, four brothers-in-law Tito Tandoc, Vincent Tandoc, Joel Tandoc and Jimbo Tandoc; one nephew, Jason Quirong, all of Jacksonville, FL; two aunts Mary Falco of Alexandria, VA and Rosella of Providence, RI; and two cousins Yvonne Green and Bill Pierce (Gail) of Warwick, RI. Along with his family, he bids farewell to a host of friends and co-workers. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 19, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with interment to follow at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:00 P.M.
