Earl Ronnie Stewart, 68, passed away suddenly to be with the Lord on June 29, 2017. He was born in Vidalia, Georgia on June 9, 1949 and lived in Jacksonville most of his life. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He loved the Lord, his country, his family and was a diehard Georgia Bulldog fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lola Mae and Doris Hugh Stewart; brothers Edward, Billy Joe, Benny Ray; and sister Joyce. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sheryl; children Jason and Michael (Nancy); brothers Bobby (Pat), Terry; sister Barbara (Jim); grandchildren Kristin (Richard), Trenton (United States Army), Savannah; and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved very much and his best friend David Register, who always stood by Ronnie's side.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 2:00pm with visitation beginning at 1:00pm at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. Dr. Harold G. Hudson will serve as officiant.
