Dorothy Shelley Fay passed away peacefully on October 27, 2019. She was born on December 11, 1925 in Palatka, FL to Edward and Maude Shelley. After high school, she moved to Jacksonville to attend Jones College, where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Beta business girls’ sorority at the Y.W.C.A. and served as vice president in 1946.
On 28 June 1947, Dot married Lawrence D. Fay, who precedes her in death. Dot lived a full and active life, traveling, golfing, ballroom dancing. She volunteered with the PGA/TPC for many years. She was also involved in the Venita Manor Garden Circle and the American Cancer Society.
She is survived by son Lawrence G. Fay, daughter Shelley T. Fay, and granddaughter Jennifer M. Colosimo, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Dot will be buried beside Larry on Friday, 1 Nov 2019, Westfield Cemetery, Palatka, FL at 2p.m.
