Doris Revels Behrens, age 95, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024. Doris was born on July 3, 1929. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School, Class of 1947, where she formed many lifelong friendships. Doris retired from BellSouth Telephone Company after 35 years of faithful service.
Doris is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Charles August Behrens; her parents John Revels and Doris Hawkins; step-father, James Hawkins; and brother, Daryl Hawkins. Doris is survived by her sister-in-law, Peggy Hawkins; nephew, Michael Hawkins (Tami); niece Kristin Kofler (Chaz); and seven great nieces and nephews.
Doris, more affectionately known as Sissy, will be missed deeply by her family and all who knew her.
A graveside service for Doris will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
