Donna Sue Tanner, 77, passed away May 1, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida after a brief illness. She attended Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama with a focus on home economics which led to crafting and presentation skills that would give Martha Stewart a run for her money. Donna retired from Bell South, formerly Southern Bell, and spent her retirement years traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Donna is preceded in death by her mother Johnnie Tanner, her father Manget “Bill” Tanner, her brother Larry, and her beloved dog Freckles. She is survived by her sister Debbie Strudel, niece Ashley Mason (Jeremy), great-niece Bailey, dear friends the Heard family, as well as her dog Bear who has found a new furever home.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oaklawn Cemetery, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
