on July 13, 2012 following a courageous battle with
cancer. Formerly from Folcroft, PA he had resided
in Jacksonville, FL for the past 18 yrs. A veteran of
the U.S. Navy he recently retired from the Dept. of
Defense (Kings Bay) after 32 years of service. He
was a lifetime member of the Folcroft Fire Co. and
missed the many friends he made over the years.
He was a proud father and devoted grandfather
(Pop) who will be greatly missed.
He is predeceased by his parents Clifford and Alice
and brothers John and Joseph. He is survived by his
wife of 29 yrs. Colleen, sons Donald, Jr. (Courtney)
and Chad, granddaughter Kyrstyn, sister Darlene
(Dave) Woodside, DE., brother Russell (Mary)
Wagner, PA, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws and many
nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5pm, Sunday,
July 22, 2012 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral
Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N. Jacksonville. The
family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Private Inurnment will be held Jacksonville National
Cemetery.
