Dolores (Corky) Rich was born November 21, 1922, in Wichita, Kansas to Dave and Leona Schrock Gudeman. She was married to Wesley Rich, August 11, 1946 (64 years) in Wichita, Kansas.
Corky attended several universities and graduated from Luther Rice Seminary on May 10, 1985, with a Master’s degree in counseling.
Corky’s areas of employment included being a director at a camp for the blind, at a bank, as a meteorologist in Missouri and Colorado, and as a civilian with the United States Air Force. Her greatest joy and claim to employment was being an “at home mom” but when her children left the nest, she held several jobs. Corky worked as a bridal consultant, as an academic advisor at Liberty University, and as Dean of Girls at University Christian School.
She leaves behind a twin brother, David Gudeman, 3 children and their spouses: Christine (Dorman) Landtroop, Debbi (Mark) Witt, Jon (Donel) Rich, 9 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
