Dewitt L. Edenfield Sr., 92, passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 in Orange Park, FL. He was born August 7, 1922 to Thomas and Olive Edenfield in Nichols, GA. Dewitt loved to work with wood, grow roses in his garden and his cats. He played several musical instruments and wrote music as well as poetry. Dewitt is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Dallastine. He is survived by his fiance’ Helen Underwood, one daughter Jane (John) McEachern, one son Dewitt (Sandra) Edenfield Jr., one sister Eloise Callin, three grandchildren Marty McEachern, Dee Dee Marling, Suzi Brannon, 9 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 6-8pm. Funeral services to be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 1:00pm with interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
