Craig was a big brother in the Hidden Valley childhood gang. He was firm...but wore kid gloves. Tough...but taught us to be cool to each other. Competetive...but a team player. (I, personally, think he, Darren, Roy, Arnold invented frisbee golf after they installed the new lightposts in our neighborhood). Fond memories of Craig. Too many to list here. Rest in peace my friend.

I did not get the news until last week. I will miss you brother. You were there when I needed help with my house during the 2004 hurricane season. You were there mentoring me everyday at the S-3B wing, You were there for me. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Craigs family.

When i met the family, You made me feel welcome. I thank you for that. I am honored I had the chance to meet you, you're a wonderful man. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Clayton family.

Craig, It was a true privilege to work with you in the Engineering Test Lab.  We worked closely for several years where you told me about your family and how much they meant to you. You were the most honest, respectful, approachable, kind and intelligent person I think I have ever known.  I will never forget you! My heart goes out to your family! May you rest in peace my friend!  One day we'll meet again!

I hired Craig 8 years ago where he worked for GE Aviation in the Engineering Development Test Lab in the prestigious role as Electronics Engineering Technologist. I do not know very much about Craig's personal life, but what I do know, is that Craig loved his family, and worked very hard to provide for them. Craig's family should know that Craig was an exceptionally talented and dedicated employee, an electronics expert. He was well liked and admired by his co-workers. Among his many accomplishments was his technical leadership in the development and qualification of an advanced ignition system for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. It will soon be flying to protect our country for decades to come. Through his technical expertise and organizational skills, our Engineering Lab has forever been changed for the better. Craig Clayton will be sorely missed. May his soul rest in heaven.

I worked with Craig for several years, and I was always impressed. Craig had a great sense of humor, matched only by his incredible work ethic and technical knowledge. I never had a dumb question for Craig. Actually, I had plenty of dumb questions, but I didn't realize it at the time because he had a way of responding that didn't make you feel dumb.  Also, because he was so knowledgeable and helpful, he was always busy, but you wouldn't have known that either (unless you knew his workload) because he was always willing to help. Craig is greatly missed.

May you rest in peace Cousin, and to my family left behind, live in peace.
We often focus on the ones that have passed on and seem to forget the family members that are here and are struggling to deal with the loss.  Let's not forget them or take them for granted.  Those left behind have the toughest job, living without Craig. 
For the ones left behind, it is ok to think about, to talk about, and miss Craig.  Don't ever forget him, but don't stop living because he has passed on. NEVER take your loved ones for granted, family or friends.  Let them know you have not forgotten their feelings and what they may have to go through.

Craig was a good neighbor and truly seemed to care about the community. His yard was one of the nicest in our subdivision. He will be missed! My condolences to his wife & family.

Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Karen, Troy, Kris and Mark:  I can hardly express how I feel about this loss in our family.  Craig was a wonderful person.  A great father and husband.  I've always taken it for granted that we would see him at family get togethers when he was able to make it.  We were able to meet his family in Florida when Kennedy was 3 or 4.  I pray for his children that one day they will be able to find peace and hope they realize that Craig's family is there for them always.  Even though we didn't get to see you very much, Craig, you will be missed terribly.  Give Papa and Darren our love.  Love you, Annette
