Constance Wigelsworth Schultz, 85, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on December 15, 2024. Constance was born on May 8th, 1939, in Pinetta, Florida to the late Helen & Charles Wigelsworth. Constance lived a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to her family and community.
Known for her gentle spirit and creative talents, she had a passion for crocheting, creating cherished handmade gifts for family and friends. Her beautiful voice was a treasured part of her church community at Maranatha Baptist Church, where she sang faithfully in the choir, bringing joy and inspiration to all who listened.
Constance is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Kenneth O. Schultz; daughters, Sherry Stokes (Robby), Susan Register, Patricia Harris, Karen Schultz, son Kenneth E. Schultz (Brenda), twelve grandchildren: Robert Stokes, Raven Stokes, Jeremy Smith, Christy Sica (Sam), Amanda Jones (Robbie), April O’Berry (Patrick), Bethany Westenberger (Chris), Cody Harris (Samantha), Adam Shepherd, Camron Hutcherson-Adams, Jared Schultz, and Nicole Greene. Brother Edwin Wigelsworth (Pilar), and sister Angela Wallace. She was also the proud great-grandmother of 17 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
Constance was preceded in death by her brothers Donald Reynolds, Lonnie Parker, sister Margaret Reynolds Hughes, and great-grandson Bramley.
Constance’s life was a testament to love, creativity, and faith. Her selflessness, warmth, and compassion left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her love of family, devotion to her church, and passion for the simple joys in life will be remembered and cherished forever.
A celebration of Constance’s life will be held on Saturday, January 4th, 2025, 2:00 P.M. at Maranatha Baptist Church 2927 Leon Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32246.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a local church or charity of choice in honor of Constance’s generous spirit.
Her love, laughter, and song will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
