Capt. Rowe served his Country for 30 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He joined the Corps at age 17 and served in the WWII, Korean, and Vietnam wars. He retired on September 1, 1975. After retirement he remained active in the Jacksonville community. Clark was a member of the Neptune Baptist Church.
Clark was the son of the late Lottie Mae Brown Rowe and Ollice Z. Rowe of Hilliard, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Dell Rowe, brother O.Z. Rowe, sister Nora Imogene Rowe Jackson, brother Harold E. Rowe, and grandchild Scott Michael Hudgins.
Loving survivors of Capt. Rowe include his son Clark Rowe, Jr., daughters Sabrina (Steve) Denmark, Talitha (Larry) Hudgins, Cassandra (Wayne) King, and Tiffany (Steve) Blisko, 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15 at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home, Beaches Chapel located at 1701 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville Beach, Florida from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and graveside services will be held on Friday 11:00 am at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens located at 850 St. Johns Bluff Road, Jacksonville, Florida.
