Cheryl was a life time resident of Saint Johns County, baptized at Mandarin Christian Church, and graduated from Wolfson High School in 1966. She was a Care Taker of many; she had the biggest heart and always wanted to help others. Cheryl was a warm home maker, loved spending time with her granddaughter, Katana, an amazing wife of almost 50 years this October, the best Mimi in the world and the best friend and mother a daughter could ever have.
She was predeceased by her Father, Fleming H. Bowden, Jr.; Mother, Virginia Wallace Bowden; and brother, Fleming H. Bowden, III.
She is survived by her loving husband, Braddy H. Wilford, Jr. (Buddy); daughter, Lori Wilford-Herbenick; son-in-law, Jeff Herbenick; very special granddaughter, Katana Herbenick; brother, Tommy W Bowden; eight sister-in-laws; one brother-in-law; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held from on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11am at Fruit Cove Baptist Church with Rev Lockland Wilford as Officiant. Interment will follow in Mandarin Cemetery. A reception will be held following the burial back at Fruit Cove Baptist Church at about 1pm. The Wilford family woud love for everyone to join in the celebration of Cheryl going home to be with the Lord.
