Charles L Smith

Charles Lee Smith of Jax, FL (78) stepped into Eternity Thursday Aug 7 (John 14:1-4). He was preceded by his father Russell, mother Christine, and brother Wayne. He is survived by his wife of 55 yrs, Jimmie Sue; his son David and wife Angel; two grandchildren, Hannah and Hailee; two sisters, Ann Rollison and Jane Sharrar; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a 1953 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School. He retired from the insulation industry in 1999. He enjoyed playing golf and working crossword puzzles. He was a life long member of the Jacksonville Church of the Brethren and never got over the Life, Grace and Mercy he received from the Lord Jesus. This was truly reflected in his constant positive attitude and smile. I will miss you, Dad, but I know I will see you again. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 pm Monday (TODAY) at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Ave. Funeral Services will be held at The Church At SunCoast, 4200 Georgetown Dr., Jax. 32210 at 11 am on Tuesday, with Pastor Mike Gaylor officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements handled by Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Ave.
