Carolyn Yvonne Jones

JONES – Carolyn Yvonne Jones transitioned peacefully to be with Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 01, 2024. Carolyn was born on May 3, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida to Ruby Lee Jones and Walter Lee Jones, Sr. She attended the local schools in Duval County and accepted Jesus Christ at an early age under the leadership of the Reverend Dr. Shelton Donald at Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church and faithfully served God throughout her adult years under the leadership of Good Samaritan Life Changing Ministry under the leadership of Apostle Gregory Austin. She adored and worshiped God. Carolyn was employed in the healthcare industry providing care for others in need until she retired. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents: Ruby Lee and Walter Lee Jones, Sr., her brothers: Raymond Laverne Jones and Leggette Nathaniel Jones, grandson: Delvionte Lashawn Cooper and her beloved daughter: Carolyn Denise Moore-Shields. She is survived by her sons: James Dedrick Harrell and John Oris Harrell, III; sisters: Margaret Stephens, Cynthia McKenzy, Juanita Jones-Crews, Tywanna Hardeman (Roosevelt); brothers: Walter Lee Jones, Jr. (Dorothy) and Walter Lee Jones, III; and 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

A memorial service will be held at: Corey-Kerlin Funeral Homes and Cremation
