Betty Johnson

Betty Johnson was born on December 8, 1935 in Lebanon, Tennessee. She met the love of her life, Al, in Jacksonville, FL and they were married on June 16, 1956. She was a loyal member of Downtown First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. She started out working at Bell South and later worked as a church secretary. Ultimately the Lord led her to open an in-home child care where she taught and nurtured many children and instilled them with Godly values.

She will be lovingly remembered by: her children, Alan (Renee), Diane Galipeault (Claude) and Michael (Tammy). Siblings: Sarah Reich and David Vantrease (Betty). Grandchildren: Amber, Lauren (Nick), Kristen (Trey), Mike and Megan. Great grandchildren: Rily, Zack, Bryce and Caleb.

A visitation for Betty will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, Florida 32225. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 24, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, Florida 32225. A committal service will occur Friday, September 24, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, Florida 32225. A reception will occur Friday, September 24, 2021 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, Florida 32225.
