Bernice Taylor Hudgens, 91, beloved wife to James H. Hudgens for 68 years joined him and other loved ones as she quietly and peacefully entered into Glory at 5:40 PM Wednesday October 5, 2011. During her brief stay at Taylor Care Center, in declining health, she looked forward to the hope of Romans 8:18, “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”
Born in Baker County FL, on August 11, 1920, Bernice was a member of Hogan Baptist Church and enjoyed serving as a supporting wife to her husband, friends and family. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her beautiful hair, childlike sense of humor and of course her great cooking! We love you Mom and will continue yours and Dad’s Godly Heritage from generation to generation and see you in Heaven.
She is survived by her beloved sister Louise Paschal, four sons, Monroe (Shirley), Charles (Anne), David (Pam), and Keith (Chris), eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside funeral service will be held Monday October 10 at 1:00PM at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd. with viewing from 12:30P – 1:00P.
