Benny Leonard Pearce Sr.

Benny graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Jones College. He married Deanne Kate Pearce and they were married for 61 years and had two children. He served his country in the U.S. Army, following he worked for the Railroad and also was a Produce Business Owner. He loved the outdoors and loved to fish, hunt and play golf and he enjoyed spending time with his family. His two granddaughters and his great granddaughter always brought a big smile to his face as they were the "apples of his eye". Benny was a very giving person of his time and his finances to those in need. He always enjoyed listening to old country music and of course music from the 50's - 60's. He always took long walks with his favorite dog, Dee, and he was always by his side.

Benny was preceded in death by both his parents, Ivin and Kate Pearce; brother, James Pearce and wife Perlemae; and niece Nancy Pearce.

He is survived by his wife, Deanne Pearce; daughter, Cathy Peterson (Kevin); son, Benny Pearce, Jr. (Mary); nephew, Jimmy Pearce; great nephew, Pearce Adams; granddaughters, Rachel Herman (Stephen) and Sarah Pearce; and great granddaughter, Sophia Herman.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 11am at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205.
