Bennie James Allen

Bennie James Allen, 62, born on July 12, 1961, passed away August 22, 2023. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida at St. Vincent's hospital to the late Jack Eugene Allen Sr. and Roselle Grantham Allen. He was a loving father, brother, cousin, uncle, grandfather, and friend.

Bennie is preceded in death by his parents; he is survived by his two sons, Wesley James Allen (Christina), and Jacob Kendrick Allen (Kaitlyn), grandchildren Aubrae Morgan Allen, Connor James Allen, and Evelyn Marie Allen, and brothers Jack Eugene Allen Jr., Arthur Wesley Allen (Kay) and Charles Kendrick Allen (Che), as well as many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

He was a dedicated father, who always sacrificed his wants and needs for his family. He led a life filled with hard work and dedication to his numerous passions. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed activities, such as carpentry, fishing and gardening. He was proud to discover that through his mother Roselle’s research, she was able to find that he and his family members were Florida Pioneers. He especially enjoyed spending time with his two sons, who he was immensely proud of.

Internment: Mandarin Cemetery, following Funeral service, 12135 Mandarin Rd, Mandarin, FL, 32223

Pallbearers: Jacob Allen, Wesley Allen, Dalton Allen, Colton Allen, Taylor Johnson, and Tim Griffin
