I do so remember the fun we had in school and the times he and Sandra had each time we got together. It did not matter if we had not seen each other in years 

I worked with Tony while I was at Kemper. I am saddened by the news of his passing. What a wonderful man! I  am blessed to have known him. I will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers.

Tony was an absolute joy. My heart is truly broken yet I find comfort in knowing his faith was strong within the Lord. When I first met Tony face to face, he visited the office here in Birmingham. I instantly adored his accent because my uncle had the same exact accent. I let him know this as well. Tony greeted me with a smile and a friendly hello. He was my counterpart (he managed KPI and I manage KA). He was a mentor and a sounding board for me. I truly will miss our weekly talks. This one is hard. The thing I told him each time, don’t you leave me Tony. He would laugh it off and say that he couldn’t make any promises because this will be his year to retire. Then he’d say I’m kidding, they’ll have to force me to retire. 

Anthony will be truly missed.  His love for family was instilled in all of us from our grandparents, Clarence and Esther Wooden.  I love you and will miss you deeply.  

The loss of a beautiful soul touched me when I heard the news of Tony’s passing. I worked with Tony at Kemper for only a short period of time but he welcomed me with open arms. 

He was so caring, smart and was there any time you had a question. (even after hours) I told him he worked too hard and he would just laugh. I will never forget his charismatic personality.

Tony was my first boss out of college.  At the time, he was managing a very young team, and to say that he taught us all how to be truly professional is an understatement.  We all learned so much from him...  He had a method of quizzing back at us when we came to him with a question, so that we not only learned what we needed to, but how to arrive at the correct answer.  

He always made time for the group to have fun and get to know each other.

I had the pleasure of knowing Tony for almost six years; he was an amazing man! He was dad to me in the office; always offering wisdom, a kind word, guidance and funny stories. He was a joy to know and be in the presence of. He will be sorely missed.

To hear the passing of Tony, is such a devastating loss. He was such a kind soul, always willing to help others and the smile that he always wore was contagious and you just had to smile back. I remember when I first met Tony back in 2013- he hired me and still to this day, he was my favorite boss that I ever had. Always encouraged me and never made me feel like I was just an employee.

We pledged Kappa and lived in the Kappa Frat House together. Tony was always very kind,  thoughtful, and alot of fun to be around.  I am praying that God's love and peace cover you at this time. I remember a most wonderful dinner we had in Richmond several years ago when the restaurant had to wait for us to leave so they could close. I met Tony when I joined Kemper more than 20 years ago.  I had the privilege to work with Tony for all of my years there.  He couldn’t have been more  knowledgeable, helpful, and caring.  He had a way  of making everything he did seem easy even when it wasn’t.  He was always so calm and careful in how he handled situations or people.  He made everyone feel important and heard.  He was so proud of his family.  I have not worked with Tony for 10 years but every Christmas without fail, I would get the updated pictures of his grandchildren.  He will be missed by so many as he touched so many people with his kindness.

Tony was giving, caring and always eager to help anyone. I remember being new to his area of expertise and he took time with me like he didn’t have anything else to do. He left a legacy that we should all strive for. Rest in Peace, Tony

My heart goes out to the Wooden Family, they became an instant part of our family when we moved to Jacksonville. Belinda and I used to talk to Tony and Sandra about everything not just work but our families and they provided support and played a guiding role for us to follow. Kristen even babysat our kids when they were little. Whenever I needed advice he was always there and he would slow me down and say "let me ask you this?" and it made me me stop and think clearly about what I was trying to do. I have been truly blessed in my life to be surrounded by wonderful people, Tony was one of the best and I will miss him very much.

My heart is so very sadden at the loss of "Tony".   He was more than a leader, friend or co-worker, he was family!  A person that loved to see you succeed and would do anything he could to help you reach your goals, not only at work but in life.   He called to check up on you just because.   We had such a conversation last week.  He loved his family and we have had so many conversations over the years and years it has been, talking about our families.   He was a jewel, a rare kind at that, and one I will truly miss! 

I pray for the family that God's comfort will overshadow you and give you strength.

I had the pleasure of working with Tony back in the early 2000s and a traveling memory of where I got a ticket in CT while going to an agency in Canaan...I distinctly remember him saying "No way, this car can't speed it is so awful" and he was right, the rental barely accelerated and I eventually won when I challenged the ticket.  Funny moment.  Bummed I never got to play tennis but that was my fault as I moved on from Kemper and never got back to FL.

I will always remember the patience, perseverance and quiet leadership he exhibited during the sometimes fast paced moments we shared.  Always genuine, positive and one you knew  was "just a good person to their core".  I am sad to hear this news and my prayers of healing for today and for the future knowing Tony will always be a part of your lives as the memories and lessons come back into focus over time.  My sympathies.

I had the pleasure of working with Tony a few times over the years.  A nicer man could not be found on this earth.  

I would run into him frequently and his good mood and spirit was always truly infectious.  

An old saying:  Though the favorites of the Gods die young, they also live eternally in the company of Gods.

To the Colvin Family, Tony was a truly amazing man.  He took a personal interest in everyone around him.  He was there to help you, mentor you, or just listen to you. He was a great leader as he allowed you to grow and was there to support you.

He was my TV partner as well...we enjoyed talking about what happened on Greenleaf...even though we couldn’t remember the characters names from the night before, we enjoyed talking about it anyway.

Tony was one of the warmest and most delightful people I had the pleasure to know. His smile was infectious and you could hear it in his voice every time you spoke to him. 
It was a true privilege to have known and worked with him. Long after I was working with him directly I’d often find myself reaching out just to catch up and he always made me feel like a million bucks for simply saying hi. 
As an aside he let me goof on him years ago and he loved the goof so much he framed the picture of his caprice that I mocked up for him. I remember seeing it on his desk at work the one time I was lucky enough to visit him there. 
May his memory be a blessing for the entire family.  

I met Tony at Kemper in Jacksonville and have fond memories of him from Kemper club activities. Tony had a cheerful soul and it was really a pleasure working with him.   My deepest condolences to you for your loss.

Tony was an early mentor and friend. I mostly am struck by his kindness and positive outlook that was infectious. He is missed.

Tony was a wonderful person who treated everyone with respect. He encouraged me at a time I needed it most in my life. I hope to be the colleague to others that Tony was to me. 

In a career you don’t always get to work with people who are true leaders and genuinely good people, but Tony was one of them.  Always patient, positive, kind and encouraging, he allowed his team to grow and to feel important.  He even took his team into his personal life so we could celebrate life and work events together and he and his wife were the consummate hosts and so fun to spend time with. Tony was a great man who will truly be missed and prayers for his beautiful family.

I am so sorry for the loss of Tony. I learned a lot from him in the four years he was my manager and will never forget him. He was such a family man and my heart breaks for your entire family. Prayers for you as you navigate this difficult time.
