Annette Windal, 63, passed away peacefully on December 31st, 2023 surrounded by family. Born on January 20th, 1960, she touched the lives of those around her with her kindness and warmth.
Annette was known for her unwavering love for family and friends. She found immense joy in spending time with her loved ones. She had a special bond with her sister Liz, they enjoyed their drink lunch dates that were always filled with laughter. Her drink of choice was the Miami Vice. Her favorite moments were spent lounging in the pool with her nieces, creating cherished memories that will be forever held close to our hearts. Her unwavering faith was evident in her commitment to attending church and building meaningful relationships within the church community. Annette found solace and strength in her spiritual journey, and her compassionate nature touched the lives of all who crossed her path.
Annette is survived by her daughter Lynn Corney, and siblings: Elizabeth (Bill) Napolitano, Kathy Sterling, Patricia (Mike) McDonough, Marie Larkins, Kelly (Vince) Griffin, Patrick (Stacy) O’Donnell, Joey (Lori) O’Donnell, and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph Windal and daughter, Nicole Corney and granddaughter, Rebecca Walczak. She will be deeply missed by friends and family alike, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and laughter.
A funeral will be held on January 9th, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home - 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Burial to follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with a luncheon immediately after at the Cody Center located on parish property.
