It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anne Marie Griswold, aged 66. She was born on November 20, 1958, and entered God’s arms on December 4, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida. Anne was the beloved daughter of George and Norma Hohman and sister to five siblings, Diane Davis, Richard Hohman, Steve Hohman, Lorrie Goldsmith, and Cindy Zimmerman. And she was a loving mother to two sons, David Griswold, Jr. and Douglas Griswold.
Anne was a graduate of Eustis High School and earned her nursing degree at Sante Fe Community College. She held many roles as a nurse, but she found her dream job as a field nurse with St. Johns County School District. There she had a profound impact on the lives of countless students and all her fellow school nurses.
Anne also found joy through her involvement at Mandarin United Methodist Church where she created costumes, organized music camps, and so much more. She was also a frequent volunteer in the broader community, including at the Daily Bread Food Bank. She was a pillar of compassion and love, always ready and willing to lend a helping hand.
In her free time, Anne indulged in her hobbies of sewing, crafting, crocheting, and tending to her gardens, creating beauty that was treasured by all.
Anne Griswold will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and generosity will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Her funeral will be held on Sunday December 15 at 2 P.M. at Mandarin United Methodist Church. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that individuals make a donation in her name to the Mandarin United Methodist Church Fund or the Mandarin Food Bank. Finally, if anyone wishes to share photos or memories of Anne with the family, they may send them to: [email protected]
May she rest in peace.
