Tommy Ray Donnell, 77, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away December 20, 2023. He was born in Mattoon, IL on December 30, 1945 to Tom and Ruth Donnell. Tommy was a proud Vietnam Veteran having served honorably in the U.S. Army.
He married Debbie Donnell on November 28, 1975. Tommy had a career as the Operations Maintenance Supervisor at the University of Illinois before retirement. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, American Legion 40/8, Elks, Eagles and Moose. He had a passion for games of chance, pool, bowling, fishing and camping.
In addition to his loving wife Debbie, he is survived by his children, Troy (Kristin), Kara (Brian) Stephens, Britt and Tim; grandchildren, Brayden, Bryant, Kelly, Skye, Charity and Timmy; great-grandchildren, Arianna, Violet, Raven, Carter and Mallie; brothers, Steve (Sue) Donnell and Mark (Rhoda) Donnell; and his beloved dog, “Bud”.
Tommy's wit, charm and mischievous pranks will be missed by all that knew him.
