Stephanie Dawn Quillen, 25, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 29, 2012. She was a cherished daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She was a blessing to all who ever met her. Her laugh was contagious and nothing brought her more joy than her family and friends.Stephanie was a native of Jacksonville and called Jacksonville Beach home. She graduated from Fletcher High School, class of 2005 and had aspirations of working in the medical field.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her loving grandfather, Gordon T. Quillen. Stephanie is survived by her her mother Yvette Dawn (Hawkinberry) Quillen, her father and step-mother, Billy and Gabrielle Quillen. Her brothers, Billy Jr, Parker and Michael. Her grandparents, Charlie and Dottie Hawkinberry and Mrs. Mary Quillen. Stephanie was blessed with a huge family; Uncle Greg and Aunt Jeanette Hawkinberry, Uncle Chuck and Aunt Shay Hawkinberry, Uncle Jeff and Aunt Dee Hawkinberry, Uncle Bruce and Aunt Candy Hawkinberry, and Aunt Pammy Hawkinberry Dobson, and Aunt Rhonda McCue on her mothers side. On her fathers side she leaves behind Uncle Gordon and Aunt Tracey Quillen, Uncle Michael Quillen, Uncle Patrick Quillen and Uncle Bert Cohen, and Aunt Peggy and Uncle Rick Gearhard.
Stephanie leaves behind loads of cousins, Heather, Shannon, Jeffrey, Thomas, Jessica, Ricky, Kellie, MacLeod, Hayley, Hunter, Hannah, Chaz, Michael, Darryl, and Ashley. Buckets of friends, and a dog, Scramson.
Many thank "yous" and blessings to the nurses and doctors of St. Vincent and Shands hospital for doing all they could to save our baby girl, especially Dr.Osian and the staff in the CVICU Unit at Shands.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday, October 5 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach. Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday October 6 at Beaches United Methodist Church, 325 7th Avenue North, Jacksonville Beach.
