He was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 2, 1950.
Bob graduated from the Scotland School for Veterans Children.
He married Victoria Marnick on May 5, 2000.
Bob had a career in construction and for many years served as a Superintendent of Construction, working on military bases overseas and locally.
He loved woodworking and spent lots of time updating his home, building bird houses for every kid in the neighborhood and helping those who needed his expertise. No one was a stranger to him, he could talk to anyone about anything! He was admired by many, but he kept his circle small. He called it how he saw it. He was easy to love and once you were in... you were in! He loved deeply and wholeheartedly.
Survivors include his wife, Victoria “the Blonde” Marnick; sons, Robert Marnick and wife Christy from Colorado, Jonas Marnick and wife Jennifer from Mississippi, Jason Marnick and wife Jill from Utah; daughters, Sarah Marnick and partner Christopher Kwilasz from Michigan, Amy Temple and husband Marc from California; stepsons, Fred Osgood and wife Angela from Georgia, Brian Osgood and wife Kristen from Tennessee; sisters, JoAnne Gambert and husband Joe from Florida and Virginia Marnick from New York.
Bob had 14 grandchildren whom he adored: Eric, Shelby, Michele, Zach, Blake, Araelya, Landon, Toby, Emily, Frank, Zoe, Maddy, Grace and Cody. He had one nephew, Landon.
He had many friends he considered to be family.
One in particular was a lifetime brother in arms, Mickey Blake. They served their country with honor in Okinawa and Vietnam 50 years ago. They had each other’s backs then and did up until his last day.
