Nikki was born in Newton, NJ on April 10, 1943 to Paul and Irene Fantino and into a large and loving family. After graduation from Newton High School she embarked on a long and successful career as a commercial banker, helping to fund many building projects in the Sussex County, NJ area.
In 1998, inspired by her passion for gardening, she enrolled in a two year Garden Design program at the Inchbald School in London, UK. On her return to the US she completed a number of design projects.
After retirement she relocated to Florida, where in 2013 she met her partner, Julian Smith.
Nikki was predeceased by her son Chris in 2018, and daughter in law Sheryl in 2024, and her sister Shirley in 2020.
In addition to Julian, survivors include her grandson Patrick Janosch of Newton, NJ, and sister Melanie Wilson of Kittery, ME together with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Nikki will be much missed by her numerous friends and family. At her request there will be no funeral services. Her ashes will be scattered in the Walpack valley region of the Delaware Water Gap, NJ
