He was married to his loving wife, Elizabeth Tichvon of Stuart, FL for 41 years.
He is also survived by his sister Amy Tichvon Rosenberg and her husband Jim of Framingham, MA, his nephew Sam Rosenberg, wife Christina and great niece Ava of Wilton, CT and his niece Jillian Rosenberg and her fiancé Eric Bueter of Seattle, WA. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Barbara Tichvon of Wayland, MI.
Michael served as a Trooper for the Michigan State Police before graduating from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus.
Michael was a private pilot, an avid fly fisherman and loved spending time on Michigan’s Au Sable River with his Yellow Lab “best friends,” Sunny, Boomer and Bear. He enjoyed flying, riding motorcycles and after retirement, learning to play the guitar. He was a wonderful husband, brother, brother-in-law and uncle and will be remembered most for his genuine smile and friendly exchange.
He was happiest when surrounded by his many friends and family and they will miss him dearly.
A funeral Holy Mass followed by a luncheon will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at:
Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church 159 - 131st Avenue Wayland, MI 49348
The family will receive friends at the church at 10:30am until the time of Mass.
