I had the pleasure of meeting Lillian when I moved to the tower a few years ago.
She was exactly what that place needed: A tough bird to keep the "inmates"
in line but pure mush when you needed someone to talk to.

My best friend Lillian Young how do I put our friendship into words. 1984 Beaches Chapel.You lived in Atlantic Beach.You were so sad Farful died.San Pablo Apts.,Eric playing Pac Man.You made all the kids laugh when you talked like Donald Duck.Such a good bible teacher,Beth loved you so much and you loved her right back.Green Cove Springs,you came and stayed with us every week end for 2 years.What fun we had.You were always there for me.You and Beth gave me the best and only surprise birthday party I ever had.Our friendship grew stronger each year.How many prayers we have shared over the years.Prayers for Eric,prayers for Beth.If I had a question,you my friend would know the answer or find the answer.Knowing you as my BFF was a blessing to my life that I will always be grateful for.I remember how very hard you studied to be a paralegal.You did it,I was so proud of you.Every thing you did you did the very best you could.Finding JC in the college parking lot.That pup bought you such joy and your heart broke when he died.Your love for animals showed your kind loving heart.I will miss you Every day my friend until I get to heaven one day and we will praise and worship our Savior together.Lil I Love you and thank God for you and our shared love and friendship.I still use the bible you gave me 19 years ago.On the front page it says to my devoted friend.Thank You Jesus for the years I got to be Lils devoted friend.

Lillian was my Auntie, and words can not express how much I loved her. She was an amazing role model, filled with love, strength and courage beyond measure. As a child I struggled with fear, especially when I felt sick. Auntie would always lay next to me and we would sing songs together and before long my fear was gone. She would kiss me on the head and say “I love you punkin always”. In my eyes she was so beautiful and to me she had no faults. After Auntie became a Christian she was on a mission to make sure I gave my life to the Lord.  The harder I tried to to outrun her,  I believe the harder she prayed, until one day, I agreed to pray with her.  I didn't know at that moment while praying with Auntie and giving my life to God, accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior, was the single most important decision I would ever make in my life. Auntie told me it would not make me perfect or make all my troubles go away, but it would change my life forever. I am so blessed and thankful she loved me enough to not give up! 

 As I got older, Auntie always made sure to stay involved in my life and I could ALWAYS count on her .   Auntie gave me hugs like a momma, kept secrets like a sister and loved with all her heart. My life will forever be missing a piece of sunshine but I will cherish the memories we made! I love you beautiful!




  Lillian was a very special friend we always talked about you Eric being in the military as you were gone and to keep you safe I really enjoyed the talks about the dogs when she had a dog that needed a home I would text her and she would say can't do it because I lived in Riverton Tower so I bought a play dog that would bark and had fun she name her snowball I will never forget her compassion and laughs I will miss you Lillian my sweet friend

My husband Guy and I lived at Riverton Towers where Lillian worked. It was because of her we moved there. She made us feel so special and took great care of us. As we got to know her we realized she treated all the residents there with great respect and love! We will miss you Lillian! Thank you for being our friend and for the opportunity to be part of Riverton Towers. 

I forgot to add my picture but below is a picture of aunt Yeh and her great niece  being silly at Rose's b-day dinner.

Aunt Yeh was a beautiful woman she was very loved in this family we had  some very special moments. One in particular was a baby shower for Tristan. During this baby shower she ended up winning almost all of the games besides one what she only lost by like two points. During that time her great niece Lily was very attached and playing the games with her and loved sitting in her lap. Another moment that we had with her was the surprise birthday party for her sister Rosemary. When we surprised Rose at a restaurant for her birthday and Yeh brought Many fun birthday decorations and we had a great time.Another memory would be when she got done with dinner with Rose she parked in front of the house and the kids would climb in to her vehicle and play with her steering wheel she loved the smiling and laughter that came from them she will be sorely missed but knowing she's in the arms of the heavenly father gives us peace.

My sister meant so much to me,  we were very close.  I miss her everyday.  I'll share a memory about her. When we were kids she use to always get me in trouble with mom.  So when mom went out on the weekend I had to babysit for her....well I got even with her for telling mom on me....I would chase her around the house with June bugs. She hated them and the buzzing noise they made.  I had fun chasing her around the table in the kitchen with the June bugs. Of course she told on me again and I got in trouble again but it sure was worth hearing her scream when I was chasing her with the June bugs.  I took my sister with me to Israel in May of 1995. We both enjoyed being with each other for 10 days.  My sister and I also were fishing buddies, we would go out to Sister's creek and fish every chance we got. I will miss that very much.   I still can't believe she's gone. 

My Auntie was always in my life.  The first thing I remember about her was music,  we both enjoyed a lot of the same music.  She was just that special person in my life, she was a mother a friend and my music grue.  There wasn't a time when I talked to her that she didn't tell me how much she loved me. There's not a day that's gone by that I don't think about her.  I loved my auntie with all my heart. I can't imagine life without her. I miss her so much.

Eric we are so sorry for the loss of your sweet mother. I know how much you loved her and will continue to love her until you are reunited again in heaven! Her love and support of you truly told all about her character,one of love. I remember the year she came to Kentucky for Christmas and we had Christmas dinner at our house. She was a joy to be with! She went on and on over the Christmas decorations in the house and made me feel as if the house was  in a Christmas magazine! She was precious with her compliments! From all of the memories that I have read, she had a way with making people feel good! That is a wonderful heart in a person that does that. I pray for peace and comfort for you and all your family and friends of Ms Lillian. May the Lord be with you and continue to comfort you through the coming days. Love Jenny and Randy


Dear Eric. You know my thoughts and prayers have been  for you  the last week.  I know your Momma would be proud of her sweet son making decisions for her.  I didn't know Lillian long but she was proud of you and you were  so good to her.  Thanks  and condolences to Dennis and Darth for their help to Lillian and you. Love you.

I was blessed doubly by Lillian's existence. She was one of the best preschool teachers I had the privilege to work with, and she was my friend. Her enthusiastic love and incredible wit set her apart. I loved laughing with her, deep, rich belly laughs!

Through the years I have recounted a tale of heroic love that Lillian extended to one of our co-workers. I was notified one morning that I had to drastically reduce the hours of a specific employee. Like me, Lillian knew this woman was the sole support of her daughter and grand-daughter. Within a few minutes of learning that this would be occurring later that day, Lillian came to me with another teacher she had conferred with and announced she wanted me to cut her hours and the other teacher asked me to do the same for her. Lillian, without hesitation or self-interest, rescued her co-worker without the other woman ever having to know of the difficulty that almost befell her, or of Lillian's kind deed. That's the practical kind of love she exuded, and the classy lady she was!

Dear woman, enter into your rest, thou good and faithful servant of God! Thank you, Lillian, for your precious, joyful friendship!

I will never forget our special friendship which lasted over 50 years lillian and I shared many memories and also raised hell we always had fun and just would laugh at everything I will miss her forever and I love her with all my heart and soul she was my Jersey girl I love you little little lillian you always had such a great presence and were quick witted and never let Anything get you down you were very and are very proud of your son as you should be and bragged about him and his greatness also I love you forever your Trudygirl.

I remember the first time I met Lillian in Asbury Park in 1979. I can tell she was a special and unique person with a kind soul and a heart of gold. She welcomed me into her home and always made me feel like part of the family. She was quick witted, full of laughter and always a pleasure to be around. She will be truly missed. My prayers are with her whole family. 

Miss Lillian was such a sweet Mother-in-Law. We met while Eric & I were in law school when we traveled to Jacksonville for her birthday. In the ten years that I have known Eric he has never missed being with her on her birthday & she counted on him. I loved watching them together. They shared a love for each other, a love for the Lord, and most definitely a love for 🎶 music. When Eric & I take road trips we sing along the way and the first time Lillian got in the car with us I quickly learned who had taught him the importance of love, laughing and singing! She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will surely live on in all of the talents, wisdom and life she gave to her only son, Eric. 

My heart is heavy, we have lost a dear woman who truly cared for others.  I am still in shock and saddened by this news.  I had known Lillian only two years, but I know that everyone at Riverton Tower had a dear love and respect for her.  She was always a joy to be around, and while she was light hearted with humor, she also had firm stance on right and wrong.  She was a women of her word, something I greatly respected.  As a single parent, she would share as a friend advise to help encourage my heart, while then speaking of the great pride and joy she had of her own son.  My thoughts and prayers of comfort and peace are with your dear family.   Lillian, Riveryon Tower will not be the same, You are Dearly Missed !! 🌷

I met Lillian in 2005 when I was hired at Jones College. She was the nicest funniest most amazing woman I ever met. I never had an interaction with Lillian where she was not pleasant and smiling.  She was an inspiration to me and the world will not be the same without her here. Prayers to Lillian's family. I will surely miss her.

 I met Lillian  in 1999 when I returned to Riverton Tower looking for an apartment. We became instant friends, especially when we found out that our birthdays were only a day apart, but several years apart. She loved talking about her son Eric. If I happen to see her in the lobby of the building she would stop me and say, "Come to my office, I have to show you what Eric sent me."....Every birthday, Christmas, Mother's Day and Just Because Day, there would  be a beautiful vase of flowers  sitting on her desk from Eric no matter where he was..  One year, I think it was Mother's Day. she received a crate that had live lobsters in it. I believe Eric  out of the country at the time he sent them. That didn't bother her, she took them home and cooked them...She also loved her "babies", Eddie and Rascal...her 2 little dogs.  Lillian had a huge heart and she was a very giving person. She was also very patriotic. As a former military wife, I was able to give a little comfort to her when Eric was serving in the military.  Our friendship spanned 18 years.  I will treasure those years. The laughter, the tears, the joys and sadness we shared.  I will certainly miss her when I go to the building to visit.

  Lillian and I just delighted in the fact that she was from "Joisey" and I was from NY! We understood and enjoyed each other so much!
   Our best fun was testing each other on classic rock and roll songs, lyrics and melodys. I know, for an absolute fact, because she told me, that her favorite rock and roll song was "A Simple Man" by Skynyrd.  Her eyes just sparkled, shined and glistened with tears of love when she talked about she and her son dancing the mother/son dance  to that song at her son's wedding.  
  Lillian had depth and kindness and a sharp wit. Her spirituality meant the world to her and she told me time and again that one of the most meaningful events in her life was going to Israel with her sister. 
  Those that she loved touched her deeply and those that loved her were touched deeply by "Our Lillian"!!! I will miss you ,Lillian. I really will!!!

Ms. Lillian was one of the most friendliest person that I knew. Ms. Lillian helped me to find jobs when I needed her . I still  can't believe that she is gone. Rest  In Peace.

   I first met Lillian through Beaches Chapel many years ago.  She was the Kindergarten  Assistant for one of our daughters.  The ornament she helped our daughter make still hangs on the Christmas Tree each year.  Wow - some  28 years later.   We were Face Book friends throughout the many years to follow.
Lillian's humor and smile is something I remember.  
She truly made a difference in the lives of many.
We will be lifting up her family in our prayers.  


Oh, this beautiful lady!  I can't begin to tell you how much I miss her...  My partner in crime at work - she played good cop to my bad cop!   But even more - she was a mentor, a friend, a confidant -  we shared a love for dogs, music, and as  fellow Capricorns, we were single moms to "number one (and only) sons!"  She had such a way with people - always patient, caring, and nurturing to our residents.  She was colorful in so many and always lit up the office when she walked in... her smile,  charisma and  sense of humor always kept us in stitches laughing.   She never sweat the small stuff and she always faced life's obstacles with brutal perseverance - she was a rock!   I still can't believe you're gone, I miss you every day, but I will always carry you in my heart, my dearest Lily Bug!

The first time I met Lillian was when we were being water baptised at Beaches Chapel Church in the Little Chapel.  Then we worked at Beaches Chapel School.  We always had a special friendship.  When we would meet through the years we would try to get caught up on our lives.  I will miss seeing Lilliam's post on fb.  She was a special lady.  See you in heaven.



I believe I met YEA , ( Lillian)as I knew her , when our son Kyle was dating her" niece" Kristen about 6 yrs or so ago. She was soo full of life and happiness.  We were soo Blessed to have been at her Birthday  party in January .. She was a spirited Christian lady and she will truly be missed. RIP my sweet friend, 

Lillian was very special to us. We had known her since 2005 when we moved into Riverton Tower. She quickly became a friend as well as an apartment manager. We nicknamed her "Hippie Lou" and have always called her that. One Christmas, we had our friend paint a stocking with the peace sign on it with "Hippie Lou" under it. The next year at Christmas, we gave her a small tree for her desk with all Hippie ornaments on it. We have continued to get new ornaments every year. She really loved it. She took the necklaces that were on it and wore them. There is no one that could have been a better friend than her. You will be greatly missed ! 

My sweet Lil, I miss you so much already.  You were one of a kind.  Smart, beautiful, compassionate, loving, unique, Free Spirited, and all the other adjectives that heap praise on a special person.  You were that special person, and I am so proud that I can say you and I were best friends.  And you had many best friends, so I am so privileged.  Rest In Paradise Darlin Lil, Eric and Carol and extended family are so lucky to have had you in their lifetimes.  As I always told you..."you did good girl".  

Remembering Lillian and Eric from the early days at Beaches Chapel Church and School.  When I remember fun-loving, happy Lillian, I think of her love for Eric and the preciousness of her mother's love toward him.   He made her so proud.    Although, I haven't seen either in a while, I have followed them through Facebook.  Such loving, beautiful photos depict so wonderfully how Eric honored and loved his Momma . . oh, and the joy you could see on Lillian's face in those special times!  Giving thanks today for my forever Family of God who rejoices in knowing we will see her again.  "What a day of rejoicing that will be!" 

I have known Lillian for over 50 years.Through out junior high and high school she was always a kind fun loving person. We spent time being hippies back in the day hanging in west end and we both loved and lived by the mantra of peace and love..I loved connecting with her on facebook in recent years and will miss her posts and smiling face..I know now that she is truly surrounded by peace and love..❤❤❤

Every time I would see Lillian she would excuse herself if she was with people and say "excuse me while I get my  Georgia HUG. She never missed giving me a hug  !  She will live forever in my heart !

Lillian and I grew up in Woodrow Wilson Homes... In 1966 I had tickets to see the Beatles... My brother decided he didn't want to go... I knew who would appreciate that extra ticket... My father was taking me so we had an adult... Lillian was happy as I have ever seen her at that concert... I'm glad that she was the one that went with me,,, We had a great time at Shea Stadium that evening (August 23rd, 1966)!!!!
