Anne-Marie Mullen

Anne-Marie Arlette Mullen, 81, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Jan. 3, 2024. She was born in Bourg-En-Bresse France on Aug. 13, 1942. Anne-Marie received her master’s degree in English from the French institution, Dijon University.

She was married to USN Captain Ronald E. Mullen on Aug 12, 1971. Anne-Marie had a career in teaching for children and adults in French and English in the U.S. and France. She was able to spend much of her time raising her daughter, helping her beloved husband and cultivating her love of plants, fashion and her family.

Anne-Marie was preceded in death by her husband, USN Captain Ronald E. Mullen in 2013 and is survived by her only child, daughter, Alexandra Marie Tauvell; three grandchildren, Brittany, Brendon and Brody, with whom she loved spending time. Her sister, Marie Françoise, who resides in France, was visiting Anne-Marie and family when she passed after spending a lovely Christmas together.

The family will receive friends for a visitation at 10:00 am, Wed., Jan. 10, 2024, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 am. Anne-Marie will be laid to rest with her husband at Jacksonville National Cemetery following the service at the funeral home.
