Todd was the beloved husband of Lindsay Moss Wilhite and also leaves behind a son, Jack, and daughter, Catherine.
Todd was born May 7, 1968, to Jerry and Donna Wilhite. When he was very young, his parents built a cabin on Woodland Lake in Mississippi. He and his younger brother, Steve, spent many hours playing in the woods and learning to fish. His love of fishing and the outdoors was cultivated then, and he enjoyed sharing that love with his own family.
Todd graduated from White Station High School in 1986. He then went on to graduate from the University of Memphis where he met the love of his life, Lindsay. They married in 1996 and welcomed two adoring children, Jack and Catherine. Todd worked in the transportation/logistics industry for 35 years. His career moved him from Memphis to Phoenix, Chattanooga, and then to Jackson where he was employed at High Point Logistics.
In Jackson, Todd was an active member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. He was a past member of the vestry and enjoyed being a youth leader with Lindsay for many years. Some of his favorite memories were with his friends in the St. Luke’s Men’s Literary Guild and sailing the lakes of West Tennessee with the close friends he made there.
Todd will be remembered by his family and friends for his deep laugh and love of the outdoors. Playing golf with his friends was one of his favorite outdoor activities. He loved planning trips for his family and had recently returned from a family adventure to North Carolina where they went white water rafting and fly fishing which were highlights for him. He was a fan of music and loved sharing new artists with his daughter. Todd was a big Grizzlies and Memphis Tigers fan throughout his life and grew up with a tight-knit group of friends in Memphis and loved telling their stories. The years spent living on Lookout Mountain, raising their young children, brought countless memories that he loved to share.
Todd is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Lindsay; his children, Jackson Myers Wilhite and Catherine Grace Wilhite; his loving mother Donna Wilhite and his brother Stephen Guy Wilhite (Amy), his niece Mary VanLandingham Wilhite and nephew Walker Guy Wilhite, both of Memphis; his brother-in-law John Ramsey Moss of Atlanta and his mother-in-law Carroll Barnes (Jimmy) of Jackson. He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Guy Wilhite of Eads, TN, and his grandparents.
