Thomas was born on December 6, 1945 in Waltham, MA to the late George F. O’Leary and Doris A. Paquin O’Leary. Tom grew up on a nine hole golf course in Walpole, MA . His father was a pro golfer and groundskeeper at the course. Tom worked and played golf since he was a child. He loved the excellence of all sports, but his passion was the game of golf. In 1956, at the age of 10, Tom won the New England Jr. Jr. Championship at the Walpole Country Club.
Tom worked his way through Boston College and worked for Nissan Motor Corporation until his retirement as a company executive in 1997. After retirement, he and his wife, Beverly, made their home in Jackson.
Tom is survived by his wife of 37 years, Beverly Williams O’Leary of Jackson; his son, Stephen Ramsey and grandson, Taylor Ramsey, both of Jackson, TN; his daughter, Christina Wozniak (Steve) and granddaughter, Catherine Wozniak, both of Collierville, TN; his sister, Kathy Vinson of Walpole, MA; his siblings in law, Bobbie and Betsy; and seven nieces and nephews.
An intimate service to celebrate the life of Tom O’Leary will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Friends and family may gather prior to the service beginning at 12:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
