Sonny Graves

Sonny was born on February 12, 1940 in Trenton, TN, the son of the late William Edward Graves and Mildred Davis Graves. He served his country proudly in the National Guard. Sonny was a longtime salesman for John Morrel Company and Empire Foods. He and his wife are members of South Jackson Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian W. Graves; and a brother, Billy Wayne Graves.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Jane Grimes Graves; son, James Graves; three grandchildren, James Graves (Melissa), Andrew Graves (Courtney), and Savannah Brooks Martin; two great grandchildren, Mila Graves and Adalyn Graves; and three siblings, Becky Graves Spicer, Thomas Graves (Doris Jean), and Larry Graves.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Ray Pack of South Jackson Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow with military honors in Highland Memorial Gardens.
