Mrs. Thomas was born on February 27, 1941 in Luray, TN, to the late George Henry and Bertha Lou Armstrong Harston. She lived the majority of her life in the Malesus community. She enjoyed serving others whether it was at work, church, or in the community. She worked at Oakley Fashion, The Toy Factory, and the Malesus Elementary cafeteria. Some would say she made the best school rolls and cinnamon rolls around. She was also known for her pecan pies and green thumb for growing beautiful flowers. She loved her grandchildren dearly and supported them any way she could.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kenneth Thomas and her daughter, Kimberly Dawn Pearce. She was also preceded by her brothers George Harston Jr., Jerry Harston, Curt Harston, and Alfred Harston.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Richardson (Pete); her grandchildren, Ashley Richardson Ruppel (Nathan) and Andrea Richardson Lindsey (Will); her great granddaughters Ivy and Amelia Lindsey; her sister Debra Harston; her brothers Bill Harston (Marie) and Tony Harston (Teresa); and her sister in law, Betty Harston.
Special thanks to Bells Nursing Home for their years of love and care for Mrs. Thomas (who they lovingly called "SherBear"). Also special thanks to her neighborhood family.
