Robert Dennis Wilson, 66, of Jackson, TN after a short fight with cancer, has passed away. He is survived by two sons, Robert Donovan Wilson and Noah Kealoha Wilson, sisters Donnia Wadley, Darline Curnoles, Mary Lee, and brother MSgt USAF (Ret) Kenneth (Pete) Wilson. In addition, he is survived by many nephews and nieces as well as friends. He was preceded in death by his Mother Ramona (McCormick) Wilson and MSgt USAF (Ret) Father Ralph Wilson.
A 1975 graduate from South Side High School, Jackson, TN; Bob served in the United States Airforce. Upon completion of his obligation, he returned to Tennessee and graduated from Memphis State.
He worked many years in the computer software development field and retired after a long tenure with Argon ST, located in Virginia. After many years residing in the metro DC area, lastly in Haymarket, he returned to his hometown.
He then offered to step in at Jackson Preparatory School to teach math and quickly became a favorite of students and staff. He taught them through various methods (including chess) to look forward for solutions.
Bob was an avid reader of scientific articles and journals, the Lay Leader at Big Springs United Methodist Church and a true supporter of his children. His greatest joy came with the gathering of family, and he looked forward to any time to spend with them.
