Dale was born on June 7, 1943 and was a graduate of South Side High School. Dale was employed by Mid South Manufacturing for 51 years. Dale was a member of Parkburg Baptist Church. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan and enjoyed trips to St. Louis to watch them play. He was also a member of the American Legion and supported any event held to support the veterans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Everette and Marye Warren McClanahan.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Judy McClanahan; sister, Margie Montgomery; brothers, Norris McClanahan (Marjorie) and Dennis McClanahan. He also leaves nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and numerous others who loved him and called him “Uncle Dale.”
Funeral services for Dale will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Bro. Ron Davis and Bro. Danny Rachel officiating. Interment will follow with Military Honors in Pleasant Springs Cemetery in the Deanburg Community of Chester County.
Active Pallbearers to serve will be his nephews, Bert McClanahan, Jeff Montgomery, Mark McClanahan, John McClanahan and his two best friends, Ronnie White and William Gann.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Couch, Landon Chase Briscoe and Ryan Cole Briscoe.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5-9 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons and again on Tuesday morning prior to the service.
