Mary Nell Briley

She was born December 5, 1940, in Madison County, to John Lee Wadley and Mary Lou (Patrick) Wadley. She was the youngest of four siblings and a graduate of South Side High School. She met David Lynn Briley at South Side High School, and they were married on September 23, 1960. The couple have two children, Dr. John Michael Briley and Rhea Lynn Fuller (Jeff). They have one grandson, Colton Allen Fuller, who was the light of his grandmother’s eye.

Mrs. Briley served in many capacities throughout her life, a church secretary, school assistant, and a homemaker.

Mrs. Briley was preceded in death by her parents, and two of her brothers, Wayne Wadley (Eulah),and Billy Wadley (Anita).

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, her children, grandson, one brother Kenneth Wadley (Paula) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a special addition to our family, Patricia Collins, who grew to love and care for her every need.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Nell touched are invited to North Jackson Church of Christ on Monday, April 3, for visitation from 11:00-1:00 and the service following at 1:00 P.M. Her nephew, Kyle Wadley and son, Dr. John Michael Briley, will be officiating.
