James Leslie “Les” Smith, of Jackson passed away New Years Eve of Natural Causes. He is survived by his wife of 6 years Elizabeth Rose Smith, 3 Sons, David (Lisa) Smith of Hopkinsville, KY, Roger (Donne) Smith of Jackson, TN, and Kelvin (Jetta) Smith of Howenwald, TN. Survivors also include Rose’s 3 daughters, their respective families, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Leslie’s first wife Edna passed away in 2001. Born 1930 in Gatesville, TX, Leslie served with Edna as a Southern Baptist Missionary for over 30 years mostly working in Indonesia but also in Malaysia and Guam. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday January 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm at West Jackson Baptist Church with Bro. Ron Hale officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held at the Church on Friday from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 1:00 pm.
