Hai Huu Nguyen

He was born on June 2, 1941 in Vietnam to the late Nghia Thi Nguyen and Lam Huu Nguyen. Hai brought his family to Jackson in 1975 and spent selfless decades providing a stable and loving upbringing to his wife and five children.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bach Yen Thi Nguyen, and brother, Dong Huu Nguyen.

Hai is survived by and will always be remembered as a loving husband to his wife and forever partner, Nga Thi Ha Nguyen of Jackson. Proud father to his children, Thy, Thang, Son, An, and Viet. Happy grandpa to his grandchildren, Nikki, Nia, Erin, James, Dylan, Lily and Iggy. An always supportive brother to his siblings, Kham Huu Nguyen, Do Huu Nguyen, Hung Huu Nguyen, Dung Huu Nguyen, Phuong Thi Nguyen, Hoang Hoa Thi Nguyen, Hoang Lan Thi Nguyen, and Hoang Huu Nguyen.

A friend to anyone he ever came across, Hai always carried with him a bright smile and a sense of peace and joy to those lucky enough to spend any time with him.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at a visitation to be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 1-3 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Randy Lockley officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

At the request of the family, all guests attending the visitation and service should wear masks. George A. Smith and Sons will provide masks to those that need them.
