She was born September 6, 1931 in Martin, TN, the daughter or Robert and Bessie Lawler. She moved from Martin to Oakfield in 1945. At the age of 21, she married Carl Wayne Siler on November 29, 1952 and they were married for 34 years until Wayne’s death in 1987. Mrs. Siler was a member of First Baptist Church for many years. She spent most of her work years at Central Service Association until her retirement.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry; daughter, Ann; eight brothers, Dan, J.C, Russell, Lenox, Zelmer, James, Harold, and Billy Wayne; and one sister, Ruby.
She is survived by her son, Michael Thomas McCaskill and her daughter, Teresa Siler; two granddaughters, Brittany Stenberg (Josh) and Whittney Lovell (Daniel); three great grandchildren, Willow Stenberg, Ronan Stenberg, and Georgia Lovell; many nieces and nephews, lots of good friends and one dear friend, Joyce.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with Dr. Justin Wainscott officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons and again on Saturday from 12 p.m. until the service time at 1 p.m.
Pallbearers to serve will be Josh Stenberg, Daniel Lovell, Michael McCaskill, Chris Jones, and Whittney Lovell.
