Charles Houston Ervin

Charles was born in Jackson TN and graduated from Southside High school in 1960. Charles married Scarlett Frye in 1961 and moved to Memphis where he worked for the Illinois Central Railroad as a Machinists. After 35 years with the Railroad, Charles started his construction company that built homes in Shelby and Tipton co. Charles had many hobbies over the years, collecting and working on old cars, flying airplanes, traveling and playing with the grandkids.

Charles was preceded in death by his mother Irene Ervin

Charles is survived by his wife Scarlett Ervin, sons Chuck, Lee, Hugh, daughter in law Tereasa, grand children Charles, Erik, Kalissa, Phoenix , great grandchild Hudson.

A memorial service for Charles will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM at our South Chapel.
