Barbara Ann Holmes Ligon, age 75 of Jackson, passed away on September 7, 2022 in Jackson.
Barbara was born on September 19, 1946 in Jackson to the late Cecil and Alma Winstead Holmes. She retired from Jackson Madison County School System after serving as school secretary for over 25 years at South Side High School & JB Young Elementary.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Ligon; daughter, Kristie Tims (Larry); sister, Sandra Holmes; twin brother, Barry Holmes (Donna); grandchildren, Alicia Grant (Jonathan), Zachary Tims & Anna Tims; great granddaughter Oaklee Grant.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, September 9, 2022 from 1:00 - 2:30 pm at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Browns Cemetery officiated by Bro. Opie Dodrill.
