Robert worked and retired from Interstate Battery. He enjoyed playing tennis, golf, watching his grandkids sports events and attending Nascar races and his reclining loveseat .
He is survived by son, Robert Steven Young; three daughters, Dorothy (Cissy) Kennedy, Candice Marie Shackleford, Robyn Young England; grandsons Austin Young, Rob Miller; granddaughters Bailey Miller, Edan Rosario, Brook Shackleford, and Chandler England; his brothers, Mickey and Howard Young; sister, Lorrie Richardson; long time partner Terri Prince
A visitation for Robert will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM.
