Mr Waltman was born in Jackson,Ms on Sept. 21, 1931 to the late Robert Newsom Waltman and Iva Dell Foster Waltman. He served in the US Navy from May 4, 1949 to February 23, 1953. After the Navy, Bob met and married the love of his life, MaryAnn. They settled in Jackson, Ms and raised 4 children which he devoted his life. Bob was a scout master, a coach, a gardener, and an active member of St. Therese Catholic Church. Bob was always in the stands supporting his children sports or helping out with church activities. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Bob is preceded in death by his wife MaryAnn Niemeyer Waltman, his parents Robert and Iva Waltman and his sister Nell Waltman.
Bob is survived by; his son Robert Glenn Waltman(Cindy) of Nesbit, Ms; daughters Susan Gail Mcallister(Doug), Linda Ann Waltman of Hazelhurst, Ms and Robin Veronica Griffith(Mike) of Springfield, La; grandchildren Joshua Swain(Jenna), Natalie Hood, Nathan Waltman(Tanesha), Phillip Waltman(Lacey); 5 great grandchildren
