She was a graduate of Forest Hill High School in Jackson in 1957, and attended Jackson Commercial College following. She began her career with the Mississippi Department of Public Safety/Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol in late 1957 and continued until July 1989, working as an Administrative Assistant to Director of Highway Patrol. Following retirement she continued working for the Mississippi State Retired Troopers Association where she served until 2011.
Pat was a charter member of Pinelake Church. Served as past president of the Forest Point Garden Club. Coached basketball for Northwest Rankin YMCA girls and played basketball, softball and volleyball. She was a true patriot and loved America and had great love and respect for Those who served this country and its law enforcement men and women.
Pat is preceeded in death by: her husband, Robert Berry, mother Pearl Bishop, father Grover Bishop, sister Juanita Clark, brother Gerald Bishop, 3 sisters who died at young age, and one niece Becky Usry.
She is survived by: one sister,Pansy Higginbotham (Jim), nephew in law Andy Usry, 2 nephews Tommy Clark (Marilynn) & Johnny Clark (Georgeann), one niece Debbie Wright (Harold), also numerous great nieces and nephews and several great, great ones.

A visitation for Patricia will be held Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi 39209, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
