JACKSON, MS
Mrs. Mildred H. Fuller, 90, passed away on October 7, 2010 at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Chapel in Jackson with interment in Lakewood South Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 – 2 PM.
Mrs. Fuller was born on June 27, 1920 in Leake County and was a longtime resident of Jackson. She graduated from Edinburg High School and attended East Central Junior College and Mississippi Southern College. She taught school a number of years before moving to Jackson. She was a faithful member of Van Winkle Baptist Church where she was involved in children’s ministries. She later moved her membership to Park Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed her Sunday School class that was taught by her longtime friend, Rachel Milner. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Samuel and Willie Ann Eakes Hicks; brother, Wilson Hicks and sisters, Roma Cummins and Flossie Henderson.
Mrs. Fuller is survived by her husband of 67 years, George A. Fuller; daughters, Teresa Wallace (William) of Como and Rita Thompson (Allen) of Brandon; son, Jerry Fuller (Melzana) of Jackson; sisters, Elna Dee Vana of Chicago, Alice Howard of Liberty, Kansas and Melba Blocker of Clinton; brother, Orris Hicks of Raymond; grandsons, Bowen Wallace (Louise) of Senatobia, Trey Thompson of Brandon and William Fuller of Jackson and her twin great granddaughters, Phoebe and Abbay Wallace of Senatobia.
