Kay Foshee, age 84, of Brandon, MS, passed away on May 7th, 2024, after a long and beautiful life. Kay was born on March 3rd, 1940, to Defrancis and Alma McCormack. After graduating from high school, Kay married her husband, William Foshee, and pursued a career as a mom, serving in various roles in their family business, Foshee Construction.
Kay had five children in total, including Casandra (and Greg) Smith, Jim (and Kathaleen) Foshee, Connie (and David) Ratcliffe, Leslie (and Jim) Lewis, and Sharla (and Richard) Hitt. Her legacy has grown to 13 grandkids and 7 great-grandkids.
In Kay’s later years, she enjoyed various activities, including dollhouse building, stained glass building, landscape painting, and woodworking. Kay also cherished spending her free time with her family and her grandkids. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her King Jesus through various Bible studies, small groups, and attending church at Pinelake.
Some notable events in Kay’s life included serving as a founding member and builder of SON Valley (later Baptist Homes-SON Valley) in Canton, MS. She was inspired for this service of love by her younger brother, Paul McCormack, who preceded her in this life.
Kay was additionally preceded in this life by her husband, William Foshee, her parents, Defrancis and Alma McCormack, and her daughter, Cassandra Smith, and Jim Lewis.

A private family pavilion service for Kay Foshee will be held on Saturday, May 11th, 2024, at Lakewood Memorial Park. A celebration of Kay’s life is to come at a later date.
