Mrs. Julia E Morrison, 81, died Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson MS. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Pinelake Church in Brandon MS. Visitation is scheduled on the same day from 9 – 11 a.m. at Pinelake Church. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson MS.
Mrs. Morrison was born Julia E McCall on December 1, 1939, in Hattiesburg MS to the late W.H. McCall and Julia McCall. She grew up in Hattiesburg, MS where she met and married Thomas Alan Morrison on August 22, 1959. They made their home in Jackson MS and Brandon MS. She was a longtime member of Van Winkle Baptist Church, Church of the Highlands, and Pinelake Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and church members.
Preceding Mrs. Morrison in death were her parents; her sisters, Ann McCall and Jane McCall.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Thomas Alan Morrison of Brandon; son, Richard Morrison and wife, Heather of Brandon; daughter, Beth Moore and husband, Greg of Collierville, TN: grandchildren, Corey Moore, Austin Moore, and Payton Moore of Collierville, TN; Katelyn Morrison of Tupelo, MS and Chase Morrison of San Antonio, TX; brother, Buddy McCall of Hattiesburg, MS; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Pinelake Care Center.
